Please vote, should I be stripping symbols from category on site?

I ___HATE___ people trying to abuse the ascii character sort thing by placing random symbols infront of their packages/categories to bump their sort priorities. As such, I'm planning to remove preceeding symbols (IE: !, [ etc.) off of categories on the site (Because I have a strict policy of I'm not messing with people's source xml, they'll still be present in your installer), but I'm not going to do it unless I have the community's Okay. So, here's a vote for you guys before I go sleep (5:04AM), please vote, thanks, and good night!

I think any repo that gets submitted should go under review and if there is a symbol that doesnt fit, then it should be removed.
