Bad news... I was just informed that some changes are coming...
Predominantly, with how Installer sources are structured...
While this is a GREAT thing for general public, as it makes installer repository slightly smaller to download (in turn, offer a tiny bit of speed performance; but does not resolve the issue where sources are down or hosts are slow, which causes the major delay), it is a bad news for me... and other meta repositories... Because it is not a standard we are used to parsing...
I need to put an immediate halt on all feature development and work on a new parser to ensure tracking of packages to work proper when repository owners do deploy this change.
Effectively as of later tonight, I will need to remove Saurik's packages from our tracking, because he is going to be pilot to attempt to update his repository; which, will cause his packages to not read properly by our parser and could cause errors. I thank him for informing me this as soon as he could...
What this means for the majority of you is that if you were tracking his packages, they will fall off your installer repository... and when I get the new parser in place, you will need to add them again... Sorry. |
