| Hi, I'm a new member, and I couldn't find a forum to put this in, so I guess I can put it here. I was wondering if a mini CuteFTP type program was possible for the ipod touch. It would be kind of useful to SSH/SFTP into my friend's touch, and possibly transfer apps/roms/files through wifi on the same network. I have 2 Apps, called DropCopy and SendFile, and I have no idea how they work either. |

| There is a way I know on how to do this, but it is not too user-friendly... because 1) it requires linux knowledge on the "scp" command, and 2) it requires you typing semi-long linux commands on the tiny keyboard. 1) Install "OpenSSH" package (Search result, valid for 2 hours max, if deleted by the time you get around to it, please search again). 2) Install "Term-vt100" package (Search result, valid for 2 hours max, if deleted by the time you get around to it, please search again). 3) In Term-vt100, use the "scp" command to copy the file(s) back and forth Manual of scp can be found here. *Note: your friend should also have OpenSSH installed; and you will need to know his/her password. |
